– Monument –

First settled as a stop along the Rio Grande Railroad in 1872, picturesque Monument officially became an incorporated town in 1879, and is a small, tight-knit community and suburb just north of Colorado Springs. Sitting at 6975’ and at the base of Rampart Range, this small town is home to 5500 people, and is flanked by Pikes Peak National Forest, rock outcroppings, and rolling plains.

Like most suburbs of Colorado Springs, Monument is just a short drive from area attractions such as the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, and Great Wolf Lodge. Castle Rock and Denver are also both less than an hour from this ideally located community. Home to Lewis Palmer School District 38, student’s ACT scores are 20% higher and CSAP scores are 15-20% higher than the state averages.

As an upper-end community the area is only increasing in value and desirability, and while median home prices are currently $444,011, the area value is predicted to grow at least 3.9% in 2017.
